About the Role:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced A/P/G/L Accountant to join our finance team. This role is responsible for managing accounts payable, general ledger administration, and financial reconciliations while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, proficiency in accounting software (preferably Exact Online), and the ability to work effectively under time constraints.

Job Description:

Accounts Payable (A/P):

  • Verify and process invoices in a timely manner.

  • Prepare and manage weekly payment batches.

  • Oversee expense reports and reimbursements, ensuring all receipts are properly collected and uploaded into the P2P system.

  • Record and reconcile bank transactions.

General Ledger (G/L):

  • Maintain and manage the general ledger, including booking accruals, prepayments, and journal entries.

  • Ensure accurate tracking of fixed assets and maintain the fixed asset register.

  • Perform month-end and year-end closing activities, including reconciliations and balance sheet specifications.

Compliance & Reporting:

  • Prepare VAT and other required declarations (CBS, ICP, etc.).

  • Support audit processes and fulfil audit requirements.

  • Collaborate with external accounting firms for monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reviews.

***Note: this role is not a full- time position, ideally we need somebody in the office for 3-4 days a week.

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree or (HBO) in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

  • Mid-level experience in accounting, with a solid understanding of A/P, G/L, and financial reporting.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong organizational skills and keen attention to detail.

  • Ability to work efficiently under time pressure and meet deadlines.

  • Proficiency in accounting software, with preference for experience using Exact Online.
