Job Description
As an IT System Administrator, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining the organization's IT infrastructure, with a primary focus on Microsoft Entra Environment and M365 services. You will oversee user and device management, ensure security compliance, and provide technical support to employees. Additionally, you will contribute to standardizing IT hardware and future planning to improve efficiency and scalability.
Microsoft Entra Maintenance
Manage users, roles, and policies within the Microsoft Entra Environment.
Ensure strict security policies and compliance.
Automate workflows and administrative tasks using PowerShell scripting.
Perform regular audits and assessments of the Entra Environment.
Provide operational support for M365 setup, configuration, and management.
Device Management
Manage and update all Qualinx devices, ensuring smooth operations.
Implement and maintain device images for different locations (e.g., Office, Lab).
Develop and manage mobile device images for phones.
Adapt installation images based on user needs and organizational requirements.
User Support
Provide timely technical assistance for hardware, software, and network-related issues.
Handle user onboarding and offboarding processes, including account setup and training.
Maintain an issue tracking system, prioritize resolutions based on severity, and offer workarounds when necessary.
Monitor and maintain computer systems and networks to prevent potential problems.
Standardization & Future Planning of IT Hardware
Gather feedback from users to assess hardware suitability.
Establish reliable, standardized IT hardware solutions for company-wide deployment.
Test and validate new hardware to ensure reliability and maintainability.
Standardize IT devices and optimize procurement processes for efficiency.
Other Responsibilities Might Include
Support with installing, configuring, and maintaining computer hardware, software, networks, printers, and scanners.
Support with Diagnosing and repair faulty equipment as needed.
Support with researching and testing new technologies to enhance IT infrastructure.
Support with installing and maintaining CAD environments to support engineering and design teams.
Job requirements
Requirements
Must Haves
5+ years of experience as an IT System Administrator with a focus on the Microsoft Entra Environment.
Hands-on experience managing both Windows and Linux operating systems.
Strong proficiency in PowerShell scripting for automation and administration.
Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS.
Experience in administering Microsoft Entra and M365 environments.
Ability to monitor and maintain IT systems, including troubleshooting network and system issues.
Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive and structured approach.
Nice to Haves
Experience in Atlassian Administration (e.g., Jira, Confluence).
Knowledge of CAD environment setup and maintenance.
