Job description

Join our cutting-edge scale-up adventure!

Who are we?

Join the Revolution in GNSS and IoT Connectivity

At Qualinx, we’re not just building chips, we’re engineering the future fabric of the connected world. As a pioneering semiconductor scale-up, we’re transforming how devices connect, communicate, and operate through our ground-breaking Digital RF technology. Our mission goes beyond ultra-low power GNSS: we’re redefining what’s possible in adaptive, scalable, and intelligent connectivity for the Internet of Things.

Born from deep-tech innovation at TU Delft, our team of visionary engineers and bold thinkers is tackling the toughest challenges in GNSS and IoT, starting with power consumption and expanding into dynamic, context-aware solutions that adapt to any environment or use case. We’ve already achieved what many thought impossible: the world’s most advanced GNSS chipset. But that’s just the beginning.

At Qualinx, we believe that the future of connectivity lies in precision, efficiency, and adaptability. Our ambition is to become the invisible thread that seamlessly interconnects billions of devices: powering a smarter, more responsive world.

What Sets Us Apart

Joining Qualinx is about becoming part of a culture that’s as ambitious as it is authentic. We hold ourselves to high standards, thrive on solving the unexpected, and push boundaries together. But we also know how to enjoy the ride. Our culture is a unique blend of curiosity, team spirit, and a touch of unconventional charm. It’s fast-paced, fun, and grounded in a sober sense of purpose and perspective. Whether we’re deep in design reviews or sharing laughs over lunch, we’re building something meaningful together. At Qualinx, you’re not just contributing to ground-breaking technology, you’re helping shape a team that’s redefining what it means to work in deep tech.

Job description

The Product Engineer will oversee and execute all activities needed to successfully realize high volume manufacturing and test of Qualinx’s products. During high volume manufacturing they will continue to monitor yields, address and resolve issues and provide support to the relevant teams and stakeholders. They will take continuous action to improve manufacturing processes and yields and find opportunities for improvements.

Main responsibilities

Development, qualification and release of new products and major changes in processes or products:

·        Develops, evaluates and introduces product test methods.

·        Initiate and develop yield analysis framework and required tools, execute regular yield reporting and manage improvement actions together with engineering teams.

·        Initiate, setup and execute the required data interfaces, data exchanges and structures to achieve full test and yield visibility for the complete manufacturing chain.

·        Support the execution of qualification plans (e.g., HTOL, ESD, Temp Cycling).

·        Support setting up of logistical interfaces and tools in line with the technical and business requirements.

·        Initiate and lead regular product yield review with key engineers, reporting on product yields, fab yields, PCM yields, process stability and key improvement actions.

·        Assist in design FMEA’s, have responsibility for updates in process and product FMEA’s and maintain product risk profiles over time etc.

Setup of failure analysis and support of customer analysis requests:

·        Establish the failure analysis processes and tools for new products.

·        Electrical analysis of products and fails on production test systems.

·        Perform relevant analysis by using yield analysis tools.

·        Reporting of key customer failure rates and interface with customer facing teams on fails.

·        Support customer auditing.

Act as primary technical liaison with internal and external teams supporting final volume production:

·        Testing (WLT, Final Test, etc).

·        Module assembly and test.

·        Interface with the Engineering and Product Development teams.

·        Monitor fab performance, volume capabilities and process capabilities (Cpk)

Further improvements and support during volume ramp phase:

·        Initiate and introduce structural improvements by means of continuous analysis, definition and execution of follow-up actions to improve manufacturing processes and yield.

·        Work with test engineers to optimize test coverage, reduce test time, and improve throughput.

·        Provide input on DFT (Design for Test) and DFM (Design for Manufacturing).

·        Provide feedback to design and test teams based on production insights.

·        Monitor test limits and guard-bands to balance quality and yield.

·        Analyze test data to identify yield loss and drive root cause analysis.

·        Reduce test time/cost while improving outgoing quality level.

·        Support solving technical product issues during manufacturing.
